I love beacons and lighthouses
Standing tall. Leading light. Night and day. All weather through. Good for me that there are plenty of them in Andøy. This panorama shows the beacon in Børra. Another nice one is the beacon in Nordmela harbour. But my personale favourite is the beaon on the old mole in Andenes harbour. The light house at Andenes is the tallest beacon in Vesterålen and more than 150 years old. On the mole in Nordmela is another one. And if you go to sea from Andenes port you will be greeted by the beacon on islett Moholmen. You think that’s all? Think again. I still know of a handfull or more on the island. Come and hunt for your self!
